The City of Georgetown Transfer Station was a large-scale ground-up construction project completed on a 17-acre site designed to support the city’s growing infrastructure and waste management needs. As the commercial general contractor, Synergy Commercial Construction coordinated multiple phases of construction in collaboration with the architect, Burn McDonnell. The project included construction of a 25,000 square foot solid waste transfer building featuring an iron aggregate topping slab designed for heavy-duty use and long-term durability. Additional components included a 1,200 square foot garden center, a new gatehouse facility, truck weight scales, covered canopy areas, automatic gate systems, and roadway improvements throughout the property. The completed site required careful coordination between civil work, utilities, paving, structural steel, and specialized operational equipment. The transfer station was designed to support continuous truck traffic and industrial operations while maintaining organized site circulation and accessibility.
